Peavey Bravo 112 combo..All tube (three preamp tubes with a couple of EL84’s inside the power section) and 25 watts with real tube driven spring reverb.
Three channels- Clean/Crunch/Ultra which are footswitchable or front panel controlled. Clean channel has Volume/Low/Mid/High controls and go on/off of bright switch. The Crunch/Ultra channel has Volume, active EQ Bottom/Body/Edge which has a push-pull gain knob for choosing the gain options.
Features a tube driven effects loop that sounds excellent and loves pedals with no tone sucking. The Peavey Bravos were/are just a 1-12 25 watt sort of the teal stripe “ULTRA” series amplifiers (think Ultra 60/120 and also the famous Rockmaster Preamp) so it features a TON of gain on tap if required.
I own three of these and figured why not let one go. I upgraded the stock bland speaker having a real England made Celestion 30 12H Anniversary that sounds awesome which has a nice first class that isn’t too harsh, a thick cheap and mids that basically get this to amp sing. I’ve these in all of the my Bravos also it sounds great.
Seeking to of this amp is that at 25 watts you can crank it and obtain awesome tone. It’s suitable for home recording and gigs.
The trunk panel has a 8 ohm main speaker out as well as a 4 ohm(min) extension speaker out. Using only the effects loop send into a larger amplifier or even a rack system offers you the Rockmaster preamp sound into something you like…good!!
Just had the filter caps replaced, put three new high gain Chinese 12AX7’s within it and a new set of JJ EL84’s..its all just like new capable to rock. I have owned the amp since new plus it still sounds awesome because the day I obtained it.
It possesses a minor nick from the tolex occasionally, but looks basically completely new and it’s new clean. No rips, no dirt, along with the pots be new. Take it home and rock….Sweet amp.
